Abu Dhabi's BlueFive Enters Indonesia Through Majoris Asset Management
BlueFive Capital announces a strategic investment in Majoris via its sharia-compliant platform BlueFive786. Deal value and rebranding still await approval from Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Abu Dhabi investor BlueFive Capital is entering Indonesia through Majoris Asset Management, targeting sharia-compliant products that make up only 10% of the asset management market.
Gulf money is eyeing Indonesia's asset managers again.
Abu Dhabi's BlueFive Capital has picked Majoris Asset Management as its doorway into Southeast Asia. The firm announced a strategic investment through BlueFive786, its sharia-compliant platform.
The tie-up
Majoris CEO San Verandy Herveranto says the partnership combines local knowledge with BlueFive's international network. BlueFive CEO Hazem Ben-Gacem calls Indonesia strategic: large economy, broad domestic investor base, and demand for products that mix financial goals with sharia principles. He added that rising financial literacy among young Indonesians and demand for sustainability-focused products make the market attractive.
For BlueFive, the deal gives direct access to Majoris's 700,000+ retail clients and 50 institutional clients, with a focus on money market and fixed income products. For Majoris, it opens doors to international investor networks.
The sharia gap
BlueFive points out that sharia-compliant products account for only about 10% of Indonesia's asset management market. The firm sees that as a big opening. The transaction value and any rebranding still need approval from Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK).
BlueFive already teamed up with Sriwijaya Capital in October 2025 to strengthen capital flows between the Gulf and Southeast Asia.
The takeaway: Gulf investors are hunting for local asset managers with retail reach. OJK approval is the next checkpoint before this deal gets real.
